Australia’s Environment is produced each calendar year by the Australian National University (ANU) with support from the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN), a NCRIS-enabled national research infrastructure project.
The report and data explorer are led by ANU’s Professor Albert van Dijk and created by analysing vast amounts of long-term measurements from satellites and on-ground stations, including many delivered by TERN. The data are integrated and analysed using algorithms and prediction models on the National Computing Infrastructure (NCI) supercomputer.
A multi-year collaboration between TERN and ANU will ensure the continuation of the Australia’s Environment analyses into the future.
